The overarching goal of MINEFIELD is to advance a cutting-edge T-TENG defence solution with a primary emphasis on power generation and energy storage & management technologies. This involves the design and implementation of the MechanoCap system integrating these technologies into military fabrics and equipment to enhance the operational capabilities of soldiers.

The objective is to improve the soldiers’ functional capabilities, readiness, deployability, safety, and sustainability.

These energy generators will be designed for easy integration into a soldier’s outfit (textile, boots, helmet).

Capturing the biomechanical motion of soldiers

Converting this motion into usable energy

Storing this energy in textile-embedded electrochemical energy storage systems

Using this energy to power wearable electronic devices and other low-power systems
